How do you decide which games to launch?

Jogos welcomes a wide variety of games — from casual puzzle games to immersive 3D experiences. However, not all submitted games meet players' expectations or are suitable for our platform. Our planning and publishing process includes the following steps:

QA Team Review

Every game undergoes an initial review by our QA team. We will conduct a short playtest of each submitted game to check its basic functionality, overall quality, and fun factor.

Games may be rejected for the following reasons (but not limited to):

  • Failure to integrate the Jogos SDK into the game
  • Buggy or broken game mechanics
  • Lack of English support
  • Non-original content (e.g., clones, asset flips)
  • Inappropriate themes or content
  • Violation of our developer requirements, our Terms and Conditions, or our ethical standards
  • Violation of the prohibitions specified on our requirements page

Frequently Asked Questions

❓ Why are ads disabled in the developer QA page tests?
❕ We disable ads before the game is officially launched, mainly for the following reasons:

  • High-frequency ad testing can reach the upper limit of frequency and quantity
  • To ensure that engagement metrics are not skewed by ad interference
    Once your game is submitted and officially launched after passing the review, ads will be displayed normally.

❓ Can I publish a DEMO version of my game?
❕ Yes, as long as the playable demo contains sufficiently high-quality content. We also support you in publishing your full version game on Jogos, which allows users to instantly purchase the full version after finishing the demo.

❓ Can I test my game before publishing?
❕ Yes, we provide a QA preview environment through the developer portal. You can easily access the preview environment after "uploading the game" and test different versions before actual submission.

❓ If I upload my game, do I still own the copyright to the game?
❕ Yes, 100% valid. Would you like to confirm again? Please read our Terms and Conditions.

❓ What game technologies do you accept? Can I upload my mobile game or PC game?
❕ You can publish games on Jogos using various engines, including but not limited to Unity, Cocos, Construct, and games made with Html5. Our platform attracts both mobile and desktop users. You can also choose whether to list your game on different platforms (Android, IOS, PC).

❓ What do I need to upload my game?
❕ You only need your game files, cover image, and video.

❓ Do you provide an SDK?
❕ Yes, we provide an SDK for in-game ads, profile information, save progress, and other functions. For details, please refer to the SDK page.

❓ Does Jogos share links to the App Store / Play Store / Steam versions of the game?
❕ Sorry, we do not currently provide links to external platforms. However, this does not prevent you from publishing your game on the App Store/Play Store/Steam at the same time.

❓ Can I upload a game that has been published before?
❕ Yes, we encourage you to do so. Jogos has tens of millions of users. Publishing your game will greatly expand your user base.

❓ If my game is hosted by another game portal, will you use an iframe?
❕ We will not iframe games from competing web game portals. If you want your game to be displayed on our portal, you can upload it to the developer portal.

❓ What size should my game be?
❕ Please read the information about this on the game requirements page.

❓ Can I implement a chat function in my game?
❕ Yes, but please be sure to monitor the chat and install a profanity filter. However, we recommend using the friend and game group functions provided by our SDK. For more technical information, please refer to the SDK Friend Function page.

❓ Do I need to add the Jogos logo and opening animation to my game?
❕ We appreciate it, but it is optional. If you want to add our logo to your game, you can choose one from our assets page.

❓ Can I resubmit a rejected game?
❕ Only if you have improved your game and it meets our requirements.

❓ Does Jogos accept portrait-oriented games or games that can only be played on mobile devices?
❕ We allow the publication of portrait-oriented games, even games that adapt to both portrait and landscape orientations. The display mode of the game is up to you. You can set an appropriate ratio in the Developer Backend / My Games / QA Detection Tool to avoid "black bars".

❓ How long does it take for updates to go live?
❕ Updates are usually processed within the same day (24 hours on working days). After the update goes live, it will be reflected to players once the cache is refreshed.

❓ From which countries do you accept submissions?
❕ We accept submissions from all countries and ethnic groups with no restrictions. Quality is crucial.

Game Management Questions

❓ Can I upload my game to other portals?
❕ Yes, you can upload your game to any other portal unless otherwise specified in your commercial agreement.

❓ Can I see the traffic my game receives?
❕ Yes, there is a dashboard in your developer portal that tracks your game's statistics.

❓ Will I receive feedback from players?
❕ Yes, whenever a player gives a negative vote to your game, the developer portal will prompt them to provide feedback. You can communicate with players regarding their feedback.

❓ Can I update my game? How?
❕ Yes, you can update your game through Developer Backend / My Games / Version Management. Simply replace the existing files and resubmit for review.

❓ How is the game ranking calculated?
❕ We use a popularity-based ranking system. The system aims to rank games in a way that allows players to easily find the best games. We also consider factors that promote fair competition among different games. For example, new games will get a ranking boost. Generally, rankings depend on user engagement data such as the number of game plays, average game duration, return rate, popularity, number of votes, etc. All these data will affect the overall ranking of the game (if all data are high, the game is more likely to have a higher ranking).

❓ Will my game appear on Jogos' homepage?
❕ Once your game reaches a certain number of players, it will be displayed in the new carousel on the homepage. Whether a game remains on the homepage depends on its popularity and user engagement (such as game duration, revisit rate, ratings, etc.).

Game Monetization Questions

❓ Can I make money by publishing games?
❕ Yes, if the game meets the following conditions:

  • The game does not contain brands from other game portals.
  • The game does not contain external ads.
  • The game and all its assets must maintain a certain degree of originality to distinguish it from existing games.
  • The game integrates the CrazyGames SDK.

❓ Can I choose any ad provider for my game?
❕ No, we provide an SDK for in-game ads. For details, please refer to the SDK Ads page. We currently provide SDKs for Unity WebGL, HTML, and JavaScript games.

❓ If my game is published on Steam, Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Facebook, can I still get revenue sharing?
❕ Yes, you can read Article 6 of our Terms and Conditions.

❓ How much money can I make?
❕ It depends on the game's popularity, engagement, and advertisers' interest. Regarding revenue from in-app purchases or paid games, it is determined by the number of in-game purchases by players and the revenue sharing ratio specified in your commercial agreement.

❓ How will I receive payments?
❕ The minimum monthly payment amount is 100 USD. If the monthly income does not reach 100 USD, it will be carried over to the next month. We make payments via wire transfer or Paypal.

Technical Questions

❓ Does Jogos provide CDN?
❕ All game files you upload on the developer portal are hosted by us and distributed via CDN. This means they are cached worldwide for fast loading by players. You don't need to worry about caching issues or implement cache invalidation mechanisms yourself, as we handle all of this.

❓ Can I use StreamingAssets/Addressables in Unity?
❕ Yes, we recommend doing so as it can reduce the initial download size! When uploading a Unity game that uses StreamingAssets/Addressables, no special operations are required: simply compress the packaged project folder into a zip file and drag it to the upload area of our developer portal.

❓ Which browsers should be supported?
❕ Your game should run smoothly at least on Chrome, Safari, and Edge. We also recommend ensuring that the game runs smoothly on other mainstream browsers (such as Firefox, etc.).

❓ Do I need to learn coding to make web games?
❕ If you want to make great games, mastering programming skills will make things much easier. Most games on our website use Unity, Phaser, or other game development frameworks that require programming knowledge. However, game engines like GDevelop allow players to make games without learning programming.
